Itinerary of your stay abroad

Program Flow: Work & Travel "Fun Package" New Zealand

Before departure, we will assist you with the most important travel arrangements (visa application, flight booking etc.). You have a permanent contact person who supports you in your planning and is available to answer all your questions. Once you have landed in Auckland, a shuttle service will bring you from the airport directly to the hostel, where you will be staying during the first week.

7 days Fun and Culture program:

Day 1 – Check-in

The Fun & Culture program starts on a Monday in Auckland. Ideally, you plan your arrival so that you arrive on a Sunday. You will be picked up from the airport and taken to your hostel, where you will spend your first 6 nights (shared rooms) in New Zealand. Upon check-in you will receive a welcome package including a mobile phone SIM card, BBH hostel membership card with credit, internet voucher, T-shirt, adapter and much more. After that it's time for you to relax after the long flight.

Day 2 – Introductory event

The program starts with a detailed introductory event. During this event you will learn everything you need to know for your upcoming stay. Due to the small group size (maximum 10 participants) a very individual consultation is possible.

Day 3 – Opening a bank account

On the third day, you and your local contact partner will take care of opening a New Zealand bank account and applying for the New Zealand tax number (IRD Number). In addition, a joint shopping tour and the visit of a car market are on the agenda.

Day 4 – Road trip to Coromandel

On the fourth day you will leave the city with the other participants and travel to the peninsula Coromandel, which is known for its breathtaking beaches and forests. Here you will be staying in a lodge surrounded by sheep and orchards just a few minutes walk from the beach. There, you will spend an exciting day dedicated to the Maori culture. Accommodation and breakfast are included in this day trip.

Day 5 –Pure New Zealand

Let's go to the Hot Water Beach. Grab a shovel and dig your own private hot water pool. Later we head to the Catherdral Cove, where Narnia was filmed.

Day 6 – Hidden beaches

On this day you will go to the New Chums beach, which was ranked as one of the 10 most beautiful beaches in the world! You will have a short exploration tour, which is worth ever single drop of sweat. After that you'll head back to Auckland by ferry.

Day 7 – Mt. Rangitoto and farewell dinner

The ferry will take you to Auckland's most iconic island, Mt. Rangitoto, which is watched over by Auckland's youngest and largest volcano. You are going to explore the lava fields and trek to the top to enjoy the view. In the evening will be a farewell meeting.
