About this position

Overview: Volunteering in a Sanctuary for Australian Wildlife in Sydney, Australia

Australia has one of the most unique fauna worldwide with a lot of species, that are only living there. Therefore, environmental conservation is particularly important to preserve these unique animal species. Sadly, there are still many species in Australia which are threatened with extinction. Since the colonization of the Europeans about 130 years ago, 30 native mammal species have already been extinct. The biggest threat to native wildlife is the mankind and the urbanization caused by mankind. The aim of this project is therefore to protect and preserve endangered species of the Australian flora and fauna.
