Itinerary of your stay abroad
Program flow: "Landing Package" New Zealand
Before departure we will assist you with the most important travel arrangements (visa application, flight booking etc.). You have a permanent contact person who supports you in your planning and is available to answer all your questions.
Once you've landed in New Zealand, a shuttle service will bring you from the airport directly to the hostel, where you will spend the first three nights. Here you will meet travelers from all over the world. Use your first few days in New Zealand to meet new people and socialize, as well as to get accustomed to your new environment. You will also have enough time to organize your New Zealand tax number and to open a New Zealand bank account. In addition, you will have a point of contact for any question that may occur as well as assistance during the job search and application.
Once you have settled in, met a few people and done all the important organizational things, you can really get started with your New Zealand adventure. Work & Travel is by far the best way to explore this unique country, to get to know its culture and its people. The combination of working and traveling allows you to stay for up to one year and finance your stay with a variety of different small jobs, including: fruit picking on a plantation, catering and hotel jobs or activities in various sectors of the tourism industry.
Visa: Unlike Australia, the "Working Holiday Permit" for New Zealand offers the opportunity to work for one single employer for a full year - this is an option if you already have some prior knowledge and would like to gain some work experience in a specific field. Of course you can also travel first (alone or with other backpackers),explore different parts of New Zealand and start looking for a job later. What your work & travel in New Zealand will look like is up to you.
