3 Months in Beautiful Dublin
CATEGORY: Internship - Marketing
COUNTRY: Ireland
READING TIME: 4 minutes
Annika ventured to Ireland with StudentsGoAbroad and completed a three-month internship in Dublin. From the smooth preparation and work in the marketing company to life in the vibrant city, Annika now reports on her unforgettable experiences in Dublin:
First of all, I want to mention that I was more than satisfied with the organization StudentsGoAbroad. I had a contact person on site who was always available for me and answered all my questions via email in the shortest time possible. After successfully registering and submitting documents such as my CV and cover letter, I quickly received an email stating that a company in Dublin was interested in an interview with me. After receiving the job offer, all the other necessary steps were smoothly processed. My contact person on site handled the contract arrangements as well as the accommodation placement. During the three months, I lived with an older lady who I grew very fond of. The house I lived in was somewhat remote from the city center but had a very nice location right by the beach.

- Annika during her internship in Ireland
I completed my internship at a marketing company in the city center of Dublin. Although it was 40 minutes away from my home, I connected well with public transportation. During my time there, we were working towards a large tech event. Thus, I supported my team in the preparation, organization, and acquisition-related to this event. It was a lot of fun. My team consisted of relatively young employees, and everyone was super friendly. After work, we occasionally went to pubs and had a drink together.
- The famous Cliffs of Moher
- Big city life in Dublin
I had never been to Ireland before, and the country positively surprised me. Ireland has a breathtaking landscape. On weekends, we took bus tours to places like the Cliffs of Moher or Galway.
The pub culture in Dublin is truly unbeatable. The people here are all very open and friendly. The weather is very changeable – no wonder they say “4 Seasons in 1 Day” here. However, as soon as the first rays of sunshine appeared, the city center was always bustling. Since the city offers much more in good weather, I would therefore recommend a trip to Dublin more in the summer.
Thanks to my internship and stay in Dublin, I gained professional experience, made new friends, and fell in love with Ireland.
