Voice from Ghana : Construction Project Review 2016
Thank You, Fellow Volunteers! Our Volunteers have contributed positive impacts through our construction project in Ghana, read through all the successes and celebrate with us!
2016 was a real success!
Our organization experienced tremendous increase in the number of volunteer participants on the construction and renovation project. The project provided the opportunity for international volunteers to work with locals to both learn and share valuable skills.
Cultural Exchange Programs for the Volunteers
The year has been full of excitement for our volunteers who participated in the Construction project especially the engagements of the local community. As part of the project, the people in the various construction sites or communities organized cultural exchange programs for our volunteers.
New Orphanage was Built
Volunteers participated in the construction of our new orphanage located at Kasoa near Accra. The new orphanage is expected to accommodate about 50 orphans and needy children from the street. These foundation or the orphanage when completed will provide food, shelter, healthcare, and education to children in need.
Construction of the New Volunteer House
At Ho in the Volta Region, volunteers joined a team of local building workers in the construction of the organization’s new Volunteer student hostel.
Renovation of a School
Volunteers also participated in the renovation and painting of one of our partner schools. The project provided the opportunity for volunteers to experience the different methods of construction in the developed world and Africa as a whole.
