Why am I paying for the mediation?
Placing an internship or volunteering takes a serious amount of time and effort.
First, the SGA team will help you choose the right program direction based on your decision before helping you out with the registration, then, we optimize your application documents with you and compile all the important travel information for you. We will also be your contact persons in the entire process and will always be assisting you with advice and actions.
Our local partners will start the mediation as soon as they receive your application documents. Before starting the mediation, though, they will take some time to get to know you more personally through a conversation while discussing your ideal project. It is not uncommon for candidates to be introduced to up to 50 companies. After all, we wish to give you our best service and place you optimally according to your expectations.
Once on-site, you will have a contact person who will be available for you personally. The fee is charged to cover these services and working hours.
If you book a volunteer service, we usually offer a full program price, which includes accommodation and airport transfers as well as the placement. If you have any questions regarding the prices, please contact us.
Why is registration fee necessary?
With the registration fee, we want to ensure the seriousness of interest. Since we will immediately process the program organization and booking.
When do I have to pay my program fee?
The program fee should be paid after as soon as you receive the program confirmation or contract by email. You will then receive an invoice for the amount that needs to be paid. Payment must be done within 14 days, and before the trip.
Do I get my registration fee back if I no longer want to participate in program?
You have a statutory withdrawal period of 2 weeks after receipt of the registration fee and you will receive your registration fee back if you do not want to book the international program (see also §9 right of cancellation). However, if we book your program with your consent and forward it to our international office, we will retain the registration fee as a processing fee. In some cases, we reserve the right to refund part of the registration fee at our discretion. Please read our terms and conditions.
