Internship ++ Volunteer ++ Ireland

Internship to Ireland : Travel Preparations

Make sure your travel plan to Ireland is well-planned! We are here to help reassure your preparation!

Visa Arrangements

There does not exist an obligation to have a visa, if you are a European citizen. Due to the generous regulations in the EU, you do not have to register when staying longer in Ireland or being employed.In order to be applicable for a Co-op, working holiday, or C-50 visa, a passport with a minimum validity of 1 year is required.

Custom Provisions

Personal belongings and baggage can be imported without customs within the European Union. Special regulations partly apply for the import of cars; these should be requested at Irish authorities in advance.

Vaccinations / International Health Insurance

If you are planning to enter Ireland, it is recommended to check the standard vaccinations for children and adults according to the Robert-Koch-Department. Medical fees and fees for hospital stays are comparable to those in Germany. Nevertheless, we recommend to conclude a health insurance cover, which also takes over costs that are not covered by the compulsory health insurance.

You will find more details information about travel and security regulations on the website of the foreign embassy.
