Anna recently completed a two-month internship in Valencia, Spain with StudentsGoAbroad. There she immersed herself in the vibrant culture of Valencia while gaining valuable professional experience at an international law firm. Anna's journey was filled with new friendships, improved language skills, and the discovery of Spain's rich traditions. Join Anna as she recounts her unforgettable time exploring the historic streets, indulging in delicious local cuisine, and embracing the lively spirit of Valencia.
Over the last 2 months I have been incredibly lucky to complete an internship abroad in Valencia. Organized by studentsgoabroad, the whole experience was excellent from start to finish. The city itself is a real gem: with its impressive historical buildings, lively markets and beautiful beach promenade, it captured my heart.
During my internship, I had the opportunity to work in an international law firm, where I not only learned professional skills, but also massively improved my language skills. The colleagues were extremely friendly and helpful, which helped me to settle in quickly. The atmosphere in the office was relaxed and friendly.
- Paella with seafood
- Patatas bravas - My favorite tapas
- Beach party in Valencia
The highlights of my stay were a trip to Albufera, exploring the city, getting to know this great new culture and its famous traditional dishes. I visited the impressive art and science museum, lost myself in the colorful alleys of the El Carmen district and enjoyed paella. The tapas bars were a real treat - I've never tasted more delicious food! In the evenings, I often went to bars, local festivals and concerts that celebrate Valencia's cultural life.
Overall, my internship in Valencia was a very positive, enriching experience. I not only learned a lot professionally, but also personally and was able to make many new, valuable friends.
- One of many great city parks in Valencia
- Sunsets at one of the many beaches around Valencia
I will always remember the people I met and the experiences I had. With a heavy heart, I look back on the past two months with nostalgia and am very grateful to have experienced something like this. I will definitely be back, because even though it was only two months, I felt at home.
I can only recommend anyone to embark on such an adventure.
