Three unforgettable weeks in Valencia: Our students share their internship experience

At the end of June, several of our vocational students once again had the wonderful opportunity to complete a three-week internship abroad in Valencia.
As always, StudentsGoAbroad (SGA) took care of the entire organization – from finding the right internship placements and arranging accommodation with host families to organizing language classes, group meetings, and a city tour. On site, our dedicated team ensured that everything ran smoothly and supported the participants throughout their stay.
It quickly became clear just how enriching this experience was for everyone involved. Many students shared that they enjoyed exciting tasks, made new friends, and felt warmly welcomed in their workplaces. One student recalls enthusiastically:
“I really enjoyed my internship in Valencia. I got to film and edit videos for social media and choose fitting music and text. At first, I was a bit nervous about the language barrier, but everyone was so nice and helpful. Overall, it was a great experience!”
Other participants emphasized how much they learned during this short time — not just professionally, but also personally. Daily interactions with locals helped them improve their Spanish skills and gain more self-confidence.

Atmosphere in the Spanish Workplaces & Host Families
In many internship placements, students found a warm, family-like atmosphere that made it easy to settle in. One participant sums it up perfectly:
“I had such a great time! I felt incredibly comfortable and well-supported at my placement. The staff do amazing work and help so many people. We even got to take on creative tasks – that was a lot of fun!”
The students also spoke very positively about their host families. They appreciated the welcoming environment, delicious food, and the opportunity to practice Spanish in everyday life.
“My host family was wonderful, and the local support was excellent. The stay was an amazing experience and a great opportunity for me. Thank you for letting me be part of it!”
After three weeks full of new impressions, exciting tasks, and unforgettable moments, our students returned home with valuable experiences, newfound confidence, and plenty of sunshine in their hearts – all agreeing: this internship in Valencia is one they’ll never forget.
